Research at our Sherwood Estate

A team of architects and researchers has been commissioned by Peabody Group to conduct research which will help shape the approach to placemaking across all our properties. Three of our residents from the Sherwood Estate have been recruited to conduct the research in April.
What is placemaking?
Placemaking involves everything that makes a place look and feel great. This includes the activities on the estate, the way the shared spaces are designed and maintained, the community feeling between neighbours and the opportunities to work, learn and develop skills.
How will the research work?
The Resident Researchers will each receive training which will cover research ethics, safeguarding and risk assessments. Part of the training will cover project pitch and how to approach potential interviewees.
The researchers will not be doing any door-knocking and will be asked to only approach people in public open spaces.
