There’s still time to become a FutureCoder

FutureCoders are building a noticeboard app for us and we’re working with them to build a team of Town & Country Housing residents to be part of their work-based learning experience starting on 9 May 2023.

If you’re aged 16+ (no age limit), and are a resident in one of our properties, we’d love for you to apply!

A bit about the work experience…

FutureCoders will run a course alongside the development team that will teach you how to code whilst also giving you an insight into the development and design of the app.

This online course will run part time for five weeks with flexible hours to work around family commitments. It will encourage you to develop problem solving skills and build on your confidence working both within a team and individually. These skills are transferable to life in general, and to many other career paths.

A bit about the app…

The idea behind our noticeboard app is to have one place for us to share community events, activities and support that is available for our residents in the places they live. The information will be easy for residents to access and use.

Interested in applying?

There is no upper age limit, and this experience could benefit anyone who is considering a career change or just wants to learn to code and understand how an app is developed. Applications will close on 4 May 2023. For more information, please contact dee@futurecoders.org.uk or watch the below video.
