Town & Country Housing (TCH) and Rapport Housing & Care have today (Monday June 12) completed the transfer of five housing schemes to TCH.
Kent-based TCH now owns and operates the four extra care housing schemes – Watling Court in Gravesend, Lawson House in Larkfield, Meadow View Court in Wateringbury and Rosewell House in Tonbridge – and a supported housing scheme, Margaret Fisher House, in Paddock Wood.
Rapport Housing & Care will continue to run its care homes, Barnes Lodge in Tonbridge and Rogers House in Wigmore, as well as the Caring Companions home care service.
Bob Heapy, Chief Executive of TCH, said:
“We are delighted to welcome residents, and staff, at these five locations into the TCH family. Rapport has created strong, vibrant communities and we look forward to building on its work.”
Rapport Housing & Care has, like many housing associations, been facing ongoing financial challenges since the Covid-19 pandemic, subsequent care sector staffing crisis and cost of living increases.
Commenting on the transfer, Leon Steer, Chief Executive of Rapport Housing & Care, said:
“TCH is a trusted provider and we are confident that with our shared values and their commitment to providing great homes for the communities they serve, they will run the schemes to a high standard.”
