It’s important that we keep our communal areas, including cupboards, completely clear. Any items stored in these spaces could be a potential fire risk.

We’ve recently seen an increase in the number of personal belongings being stored in cupboards in the internal communal areas of apartment blocks.

To help protect our residents, as of Monday 3 July 2023 we will be disposing of any items found in these cupboards. We won’t be able to check who owns these items and there will be no compensation offered for any items removed.

Why can’t I store my belongings in these cupboards?

These cupboards contain cabling that provide key services to the individual homes in a block. Storing any items inside them creates a fire risk.
