Next Steps in Choosing Our New Estate Services Contractor

We’re reviewing how we look after the communal spaces, inside and out, at our properties. This work is known as Estate Services and covers things like grass cutting, the way we clean and care for internal shared spaces, how we look after bin stores and many other points.
As Estate Services are provided for residents and paid for via service charges it’s vital that residents share their views and help shape the service.
We had more than 1,350 residents complete our initial survey on what they’d like from a new Estate Services contract.
From that group more than 200 said they’d like to get involved in helping us choose a new contractor. We’re now speaking to residents to check their availability for the next stage of the project.
The next stage
35 companies made have made a bid to carry out the work, and we’ve narrowed this down to 18 companies. They are now going to send us details of their costs and a plan of how they’ll carry out the work.
We’ll be reviewing these bids in a series of interviews with contractors, and we’ll have residents on those interview panels.
Thank you!
Thank you to all our residents who have been involved in this process. We’re committed to providing services that meet our residents’ needs, so it’s vital that residents have the opportunity to share their views and help us to choose our contractors.
The interviews are taking place in December, and we expect to award the contracts to successful bidders in January, before they go live in April.
