A small team, including a tradesperson and the voids supervisor, joined forces with four enthusiastic resident volunteers to transform the space.
Evernden House residents recently enjoyed a refreshed look in their communal areas thanks to a collaborative painting project with TCH Repairs. The project came about after a resident meeting, where residents expressed a desire for a fresh coat of paint in anticipation of new carpeting.
“It was great to spend some time getting to know some of the residents at Evernden House,” said Paula Cook, who organised the project for TCHR. “It was wonderful to see everyone come together and contribute to making their living space even more welcoming.”
The project was made possible thanks to the generosity of Brewers, who donated all the necessary materials, including brushes, paint, and rollers. Their contribution ensured the residents had everything they needed to complete the project successfully.
The painting day was a resounding success. As one resident put it, “It’s good to get the work done, and everyone agrees that it looks much better now. Really nice idea!” The newly painted walls have brightened up the communal areas, creating a more pleasant and inviting atmosphere for all residents of Evernden House to enjoy.
