Town & Country Housing is hosting a free health check event for residents at its Tunbridge Wells office on Friday 24 January 2025.
Foster PM, our Planned Works contractor, has arranged the event which will offer a total of 100 test appointments for these key health issues:
- Men aged 40 and over can receive a PSA test for prostate cancer
- Women aged 20 and over can have their cholesterol tested.
The tests are being carried out by the Graham Fulford Charitable Trust (GFT), which supports health awareness and early diagnosis through testing.
Foster PM has been working with TCH for more than four years. Following a friend’s recent health scare that was picked up through routine screening, Stuart Fetti, CEO at Foster PM, came up with the idea for the screening event.
“We know how easy it is to think that you’ll ask for a test next time you see your GP, or you might convince yourself that you don’t need to take a test. I know from experience how important it is to get tested,” Stuart said.
“Fosters is committed to supporting the communities it works in, and so we came up with this idea to offer TCH residents the chance to easily access these life-saving tests.
“There are 100 slots on the day, so please do book in and come along.”
How to book your test
The tests are being carried out at TCH’s office at Monson Road, Tunbridge Wells, TN1 1LQ between 9am and 3pm.
Click here to book your test – you’ll need to log in to your account with GFT (if you already have one) or register for a new one to make the booking.

About the tests
Both tests are completed with a simple, blood test. Results will be analysed after the event, and GFT will contact you via email with your results.
What is a PSA test?
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men worldwide. However, when detected early, the survival rate rises significantly.
PSA blood tests provide a simple and effective screening method to identify potential abnormalities in the prostate gland, enabling early intervention and increased chances of successful treatment.
PSA blood tests are minimally invasive, requiring a simple blood sample. It is a quick and painless procedure. This non-invasive nature makes it accessible and suitable for everyone, including those who may be hesitant about more invasive screening methods.
What is a cholesterol test?
A cholesterol test measures the levels of cholesterol and triglycerides in your blood. It can help determine your risk of developing heart disease by detecting the buildup of fatty deposits (plaques) in your arteries that can lead to narrowed or blocked arteries throughout your body (atherosclerosis).
High cholesterol does not cause symptoms, so the only way to find out if you have it is through a blood test.
