Earlier this July, one of our very own — Alistair Lark, a TCH leaseholder and member of the Resident Scrutiny Panel — represented us at the TPAS National Tenants Conference 2025.

This annual event brings together residents, housing professionals and community voices from across the UK to explore how tenants can shape the future of social housing. With 24 breakout sessions packed into two days, it was a brilliant opportunity to learn, connect and share ideas.

Alistair joined four sessions that covered some really important topics:

  • 🏗️ Building Safety – how residents can help shape policies that keep our homes safe.
  • 💼 Procurement – making sure resident voices are heard when services are chosen.
  • 🕊️ The Housing Ombudsman – understanding how this service supports fair treatment.
  • 🔍 Resident Scrutiny – exploring different ways residents can hold landlords to account.

He told us: “Overall, it was an enriching and rewarding experience and I learned a lot!”

We’re proud to have residents like Alistair actively involved in shaping how we work. His participation helps make our organisation more transparent and responsive — and it shows how much your voice matters.
