We know how important it is for everyone to feel safe and secure in their homes. That’s why we work closely with Kent Police and other partners to take action where there are serious issues.

Recently, Kent Police obtained a closure order for a TCH rented flat in Gravesend. The flat had been linked to persistent antisocial behaviour and drug dealing. Over recent months, officers had been called out several times following reports of crime and nuisance linked to the property.

On Friday 18 July 2025, officers applied to Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court for a closure order. The three-month order was granted, which means no one is allowed to enter the property during this time. If they do, they risk arrest and further action. The flat has since been boarded and locked to prevent breaches of the court order.

PC Jo Hammond explained:
“We are committed to doing everything we can to tackle antisocial behaviour and will not hesitate to take similar action when persistent crime from one household blights the quality of life for everyone else.”

We want to reassure you that action is taken when antisocial behaviour has a negative impact on residents and communities. Your feedback plays an important role in shaping the way we deal with these issues, so please keep letting us know if something is affecting you.

Together, by speaking up and working with our partners, we can make sure our communities remain safe and pleasant places to live.
