Looking ahead to 131 new homes in 2025

Did you know that since 1 April we’ve already completed 75 new homes across Kent and East Sussex? These include a mix of social rent, affordable rent and shared ownership, helping to provide more people with safe and affordable places to live.

By the end of this financial year, we’re on track to complete a total of 131 new homes – a big step towards meeting local housing needs. Among these, 37 will be shared ownership properties.

Energy-efficient homes

All our new homes are built with energy efficiency in mind. On average, they’re rated EPC B – meaning they’re considerably cheaper to run than many standard street properties, which are often rated C or D. This makes a real difference when it comes to heating bills and day-to-day costs.

Where we’re building

Recent completions include developments at Highgate Hill in Hawkhurst and Steel Cross in Crowborough. We’re also making great progress on other sites, such as Showfields Regeneration Phase 1 in Tunbridge Wells, where the last of the foundations have just been poured.

Over in Broadstairs, our Reading Street development is almost finished – and it’s just one of four new projects we’ve signed contracts on recently, ensuring we continue to maintain our new homes offer to residents.

Looking ahead

So far this year we’ve also started work on 39 new homes, with more than 200 planned over the coming months. Each project we deliver strengthens our role as a key housing provider in the region and helps us continue to support local communities.

We’re excited to keep sharing updates with you as these projects progress. New homes mean new opportunities – and we’re proud to be building them for the future.

Shared ownership opportunities

Love Living Homes, the sales arm of Town & Country Housing, will be managing the shared ownership homes for these future developments. A range of upcoming shared ownership homes across Kent and East Sussex is already listed on the Love Living Homes website.  If you find the perfect development for you, register your interest to be kept informed when properties are released for reservation. Please note that some sites may have a nomination period before reservations open. To help guide you through the process, a range of online resources are available, including information on shared owners’ responsibilities and step-by-step details of the reservation process.
