Winter Warmers: helping residents stay safe and warm
Related Posts
On one of the coldest days of the year so far, 38-pairs of Town & Country Housing colleagues visited residents in their homes through our Winter Warmers initiative.
More than 150 residents aged 75 and over were visited across Folkestone, Epsom and Tunbridge Wells on the day.
As well as getting to know residents and checking key contact details, staff were able to ask about problems we know residents can face over the winter. Conversations covered topics including repair needs, heating costs, damp and mould, health and wellbeing.
The purpose of the visits was to spot any issues early and offer practical help where possible. In some homes, teams helped residents adjust their thermostats or test their smoke alarms, while others identified cases of damp or maintenance needs and passed them to the relevant service for follow-up.
