We regularly consult our Resident Survey Group to ask what you think about us as your landlord and the services we provide.

We recently carried out a survey about the personal data we collect. This data covers areas such as health information, support needs, and equality data. We use this information to make sure our services are inclusive, responsiveand tailored to what residents need.

Your information is stored securely and accessed only by staff who need it. We only share it where we have a lawful basis to do so. You can update your information at any time, and withdraw consent where it applies.

Eighty residents provided valuable feedback through the survey on the different ways we collect data and how we use it to shape services for residents.

One of the questions we asked was about whether people had concerns about data being collected. While 44% of respondents said they had no concerns, a number raised information security as a worry.

Information security is an issue that we take incredibly seriously, and we have robust systems in place to keep data safe. We also address the topic regularly at staff briefings and through our staff training programme.

One of our training courses offers a series of short, regular videos from a company called Wizer. These cover key elements that can help TCH staff stay safe on-line, both in and out of work.

When we started to review the survey results and saw residents’ concerns about information security, colleagues mentioned how helpful they found the training and asked if it could be shared with residents.

We’ve spoken with Wizer and they are delighted for us to do just that. You can access all the info, and find links to further support, on our website: Staying safe online – Town & Country Housing
