Paddock Wood: Creative Wellbeing Group starting this spring

We’re delighted to let residents know that a new Creative Wellbeing Group will be launching soon in Paddock Wood, continuing our Creative Connections art sessions delivered in partnership with West Kent Mind.
Creative Connections is inspired by the lottery-funded Creative Minds groups. The 12 week groups are led by a West Kent Mind Wellbeing Worker and introduce participants to a range of creative activities to support connection and wellbeing. These sessions offer a calm, friendly space where people can come together, try something creative and take a positive step towards supporting their wellbeing — with no pressure and no expectations.
What can you expect from the sessions?
Creative Connections is inspired by the lottery-funded Creative Minds groups. The 12-week groups are led by a West Kent Mind Wellbeing Worker and introduce participants to a range of creative activities, such as drawing, watercolours and paper crafting, to support connection and wellbeing. You don’t need any previous experience — just an open mind and a willingness to have a go. The focus is very much on enjoying the activity and spending time together, rather than producing a finished piece.
We’ve already run groups in High Brooms, and have seen how taking part in creative sessions can help people feel more confident, build connections and add a gentle sense of structure to the week.
