Introducing our new Resident Engagement Strategy

Over the past year, we’ve been working closely with the Resident Voice Panel (RVP) to cocreate the new Resident Engagement Strategy 2026 – 2028.

A huge thankyou to the 1,500+ residents who took part in our survey – your feedback has been invaluable in shaping our future priorities.

We’re delighted to share the new strategy with you today, which you can view here.

Read on to find out more about how residents have helped to shape the strategy and how we’ll be implementing it.

What you told us

Across the responses, two messages came through loud and clear, residents want:

  • More human connection
  • Engagement opportunities that make a real difference in their local area.

Your feedback has directly informed the direction of this new strategy. While we are continuing with the core themes from our first engagement strategy, we’re placing a much stronger emphasis on reach and impact.

What this means

Reach

We want more residents to be able to get involved in ways that suit them. This means increasing opportunities not just through strategic panels, but also through everyday, local activities – such as estate walkabouts and more opportunities across our Later Living Communities.

Impact

We are developing clearer ways to use, evidence and demonstrate the difference your voices make. We want to evidence really clearly to you  how your feedback shapes decisions and leads to continuous service improvement.

A culture of engagement

Our long term vision is for resident engagement to become part of who we are as a landlord – something embedded across the whole organisation, not just a single team or set of processes. The first strategy helped us build strong foundations; this next one is about making resident involvement part of our everyday culture.

What happens next

An action plan sits alongside the strategy, and the Resident Voice Panel will oversee its delivery. They will also hold us accountable for our performance and share an update with all residents every six months through this newsletter.
