Thank you to everyone who took part in our resident conversations at Watersedge, in Epsom, between December 2025 and January 2026. Your feedback has helped us understand what matters most to residents in this area.
You said…
- Residents raised concerns about the condition of some homes, including draughty windows, ageing kitchens and bathrooms, doors, and possible subsidence.
- People also said shared that communal spaces in the blocks needed to be better looked after, and raised wider concerns about safety on the estate, such as parking, fly-tipping, noise, antisocial behaviour and suspected drug-related activity.
- Residents also told us they would like more opportunities to come together as a community.
We’re doing…
- We’ve let residents know that an independent check in 2025 found no subsidence in one block, and we’ve asked them to get in touch if they are concerned about others.
- We’ve improved communal areas with redecoration, new flooring and matting, new doors and repairs.
- We are continuing to respond to repair requests for individual homes. Window replacements remain in the longer-term programme, currently planned for 2033, subject to budget.
- We’re reviewing parking, considering fencing requests, increasing estate walkabouts, and exploring better lighting and CCTV to improve safety and reduce fly-tipping.
- We’re also planning community activities and partnerships to create events residents have told us they’d like.
