You said, we’re doing…
We’ve been hearing from residents about the areas we can provide community support on. As a result, our Community Investment and Social Value team (who do what) have changed the types of projects they’re working on.
You said: We heard from more than 100 residents about the types of community initiatives they want.
Resident’s top priorities are:
- Mental health – residents want more resources in their local communities that support mental wellbeing.
- Social connection – many residents feel lonely and want more opportunities to meet and connect with others.
- New! Community Safety – Residents want to feel safer at home by reducing crime and anti-social behaviour in the local area.
- New! Young people – Residents want more opportunities for young people, especially things like local activities, youth clubs, and support to get into work.
- New! Improving community spaces – Residents want communal areas and community facilities to be of a good standard.
- New! Connecting and involving people where they live – Residents want to be actively involved in shaping their communities.
Residents told us that they want to be involved in their local community, connect with others, and share ideas. Lots of people said they are keen to get involved in working with the Community Investment & Social Value Team directly.
We’re doing…
We’ll be inviting residents to join a new Co-creation Group this summer.
The group will decide how it wants to work – and what to focus on. This could include areas like researching, designing and setting up new community projects, working with suppliers on social value initiatives, shaping our procedures, or reviewing the performance of existing projects.
Want to get involved?
We’ll bring you more details nearer the time, but if you want to register your interest in this new group please email getinvolved@tch.org.uk or click here to see other involvement opportunities
