A new scheme comes into force on 1 October 2026 to make sure that housing associations are open with residents about how their homes are managed.  

Under the Social Tenants Access to Information Requirements (or STAIRs for short), residents will have access to information we hold about your housing, as well as information held by organisations that manage housing on our behalf.  

We’re creating a new page on our website with key information, and we recently shared that page with members of our Resident Survey Group. They were asked to review the page and tell us if they thought any information was missing and what they thought to the design of the page.  

You said…  

We received detailed feedback from 64 residents who shared a range of opinions and ideas about the new STAIRs page. These included calls for more information on areas such as how rent is calculated and collected, how we manage contracts, how residents are involved in our work and their impact, repairs statistics and details about shared ownership.  

We also received useful feedback on explaining our links to Peabody, accessibility of the page and photos.
