From 1 October 2026, Smith & Byford will be looking after your home’s heating and hot water system, including servicing, maintenance and installations.

We know that having work carried out in your home can sometimes feel disruptive, so our aim is to make the process as straightforward and convenient as possible. Whether you’re booking an appointment, speaking to our customer care team or welcoming an engineer into your home, you’ll be treated with courtesy, respect and clear communication every step of the way.

We’re a family run business with over 60 years’ experience working with housing associations and their residents. Our engineers are directly employed, highly trained and focused on getting things right first time. You’ll be able to book appointments online or by telephone, receive helpful reminders, and use our “You’re Next” text message service, which lets you know when your engineer is on the way, helping you avoid waiting around all day.

Most importantly, we listen. We regularly ask residents for feedback and use it to improve our services, making sure we’re delivering the level of service people expect in their homes. We’re looking forward to working with Town & Country Housing and supporting residents with safe, reliable heating and hot water services for many years to come.
