STAIRS Publication Scheme (STAIRs)

Stairs main image

Under the Social Tenants Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs) scheme, we are required to be open with you about how your home is managed. This means giving you access to information we hold about your housing, as well as information held by organisations that manage housing on our behalf.

To meet the STAIRs standards and to show our commitment to openness, accountability, and involving residents we will take the following steps:

Step 1 – Publication Scheme (effective from October 2026)
Key information about areas including who we are, what we do, how we perform, how we spend our money and what we spend it on, can be found below. This is called our Publication Scheme.

Much of this information is already on our website, but this page brings it all together in one place.

Step 2 – Responding to information requests (effective from April 2027)
From April 2027, you (or someone representing you) will be able to request information about how your housing is managed. We will provide this information unless there is a lawful reason not to do so.

The information will be provided within 30  calendar days, however we may not have the resources to deal with complex requests within that timescale and will advise you if we need to extend our response timescale.

We are committed to being open and transparent, so you can understand how we work and hold us to account for the services we provide.

Publication Scheme

As part of the STAIRs requirements, the government has set out specific types (or classes) of information that we must publish regularly to support openness and accountability in how your homes are managed.

These information classes are shown below, with links to relevant documents in each section.

The Peabody policies listed on this page apply across the whole Group, including Town & Country Housing.

We will regularly review and update our Publication Scheme to make sure the information stays accurate and up to date.
