Find a home
There are many ways that you can move into of our homes, from renting via your local authority through to private rent or purchase.
If you’re already in one of our properties there’s the option to swap homes with another housing association tenant, or you could buy your property through the government’s Right to Buy scheme.

Apply for housing
We work closely with local authorities across the south-east to house people on local housing registers. Rather than us allocating empty homes, people who want to move into one of our homes, or to transfer to another of our homes in the area, can ‘bid’ for the properties they are interested in through a Choice Based Letting (CBL) scheme.
The CBL for Kent is Kent Homechoice, while Sussex is covered by Homemove.
The first step to bidding through a CBL is to contact your local council and complete its Joint Housing Register form. Once they’ve sent you a user guide and welcome pack you can start to bid.
Mutual exchanges
Mutual exchange can be the fastest, easiest way to find the right home for you, especially if you are not considered a priority under the transfer or CBL schemes. We encourage all tenants who want to move to consider the option of mutual exchange.
Put simply, mutual exchange allows you to swap your home with that of another of our tenants, or a tenant of another housing association or council, providing they have the right to swap and want to do so.
All mutual exchanges are managed through the HomeSwapper website.
