A Festive Fortem

When we procure a new contract or partner, we always consider the social value benefits that they will bring to our communities and make sure they align with our social purpose.

We’re really pleased that our new joint venture partner for TCH Repairs, Fortem, is already contributing to our social value programme and has donated lots of festive food items to the Showfields’ food larder. The items were really well received by The Number One Community Café, who provide food bags every Wednesday to local residents.

Paula Cook, Customer and Community Partner for TCH Repairs, took the food to the Café last Wednesday where she and Sophie Locke, TCH’s Community Investment Manager, helped get the bags ready for residents.

Thank you also to Carol Clayson from Future Skills who gifted the festive bags for the goodies and also helped with the packing of the bags. Future Skills is offering free English, Maths and employability courses to Town & Country Housing residents on Tuesday and Friday mornings at The Number One Community Centre library. If you would like to find out more, please call Carol on 07519 537741.

This is part of our wider social value commitment programme that involves a range of our contractors and which benefits many of the communities we work in. We will be working with Fortem to develop and deliver their social value offer over the course of their contract with us.
