Volunteering opportunity – The Great British Spring Clean

As part of the Anglers Against Litter campaign, sponsored by Shimano, the Angling Trust has partnered with multiple organisations to carry out a litter pick at Sherwood lake and the surrounding woodland.

They’re currently looking for people who would be willing to give some time to help.

When and where is it happening?

The litter picking session will take place on 22 March 2024 between 10am and 2pm.

It takes place at Sherwood lake and woodland, Tunbridge Wells, TN2 3LZ.

Why volunteer?

This is a great opportunity to get outdoors, meet members of the community and help look after a local area.

Unfortunately, this wonderful green space is suffering from excessive litter issues, and help is needed to remove as much litter as possible.

There is ample parking on site (please be considerate of local residents), and all litter picking equipment will be provided to volunteers.

Interested in getting involved?

If you’re interested in taking part and helping to maintain the woodland, please contact Tirzah via Tirzah.Bottomley@kent.gov.uk who will be able to provide you with more details about the day.
